2025 lecture season continues on Wednesday 30th April
For April's lecture, Brian Riley will provide overview of the Airborne units linked to South Kesteven, and of the many places in the peaceful English landscape that still bear witness to their presence. This overview will be followed by the heroic story of the US Airborne Pathfinders who helped lead Allied Airborne assaults in Europe and the Pacific.
NOTE: SPECIAL ADDITIONAL ATTRACTION – GUIDED DAKOTA TOUR STARTING 6.30 PM 'To bring these experiences to life, our very own Dakota KG651 will be open to view for members and lecture attendees only from 6pm, as Brian provides colour and context, and our expert guides explain this unique attraction.' Volunteering at Metheringham Airfield Visitor Centre
Metheringham Airfield Visitor Centre is run by a dedicated team of volunteers. There are lots of different volunteer roles including stewarding, catering, curatorial and even engineering with the Dakota team.
