A hidden gem of Bomber County
Welcome to the official website of the Metheringham Airfield Visitor Centre, a small museum, supported by the Friends of Metheringham Airfield that is dedicated to those men and women who flew and supported RAF 106 Bomber Squadron from 1943 until the end of the second world war.
The visitor centre contains an abundance of information and displays many artefacts that relate to those flyers, aircrew and ground staff who flew and offered support to the squadron during its presence in Metheringham.
In the website You will find plenty of information about what we do, some of our history and how you might support us through membership. Better still, why not give us a visit? ENTRANCE IS FREE. You will find our volunteers knowledgeable and welcoming.
Have you seen Mr Fox our missing mascot? We are desperate to get him back. More information about him can be seen on our exhibits page.
PLEASE NOTE: WE ARE CLOSED LAST THE WEEKEND OF OCTOBER UNTIL LAST THE WEEKEND OF MARCH. OUT OF SEASON VISITS FOR GROUPS OR FAMILY OF 106 SQUADRON VETERANS MAY TAKE PLACE BY PRIOR ARRANGEMENT ONLY.
